In Acts 20:28, Jesus commands, “Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.” This scripture is what leads and guides Hearts of Hope. Hearts of Hope is a way that we can spread Jesus’ love through our congregation through individual "care ministers" who care for a number of families in our church by sending encouraging cards, making phone calls, planning visits and intercessory prayer.
First John 3:18 says, “My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love.” That's what this ministry is all about. We don't talk about loving people. We love on them and let them know that they are missed when they have been absent from church.
This ministry is incredibly rewarding, but in great need of care ministers. As God blesses our church with growth, we have the need for more care ministers. So, if you feel like God has blessed you with the gift of encouragement or love or intercessory prayer, please let us know you would like to volunteer your time.
